A Little Pleasantness

While I was out and about today, I decided to stop by a local coffee shop (not the big bucks one), and ordered my drink as a medium, and chatted with the barista. We were talking about how nice and chilly it is, and I mentioned that my birthday is in two days, so it's my type of weather at my time of year. We shared a laugh at my little joke, and then lo and behold, she'd upgraded my drink to a large at no cost! It was a small gesture, but it made my day. I wish all encounters with others were as pleasant.
