  • Bonfire Night (UK)

I was doing overtime today on the firework kiosk in our store. Is it bad that got immense please after 6pm when parents were coming up to the counter on their way to the local bonfire to buy sparklers, and I had to tell them if front of their children that we had sold out?

I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

It was raining cats & dogs in my area, with a local display that's big enough to actually charge... Not so much "treason & plot", more like "fizzle & pop"!

Ah, Gunpowder Treason Day. The great holiday that I take great joy in telling people that it exists. Along with the true story of Guy Fawkes. Who would be extremely incredulous if he found out about things going on today in his name.

What? You don't play with flamethrowers on the weekends? You are strange.
