This happened not once, but TWICE today!

I don't need cheques to withdraw cash from my chequing account.
I don't need withdrawl slips to withdraw cash from my chequing account.

All I need to do is take my bank card up to the teller, and say "I want X amount of cash in Y denominations." They take my card, scan it, and give me my money. If it's a large withdrawl, I'll have to sign a slip that gets printed right then that shows previous and current balance, and amount withdrawn. And there's no charges for any of that.

Same here. Oh, well, I need my driver's license, too, but . . .

I've never written a check to my bank. I thought thats what ATM cards were for. I really never understood why customers would come to my window and write "cash" on the pay to the order line at work.

Okay, at my casino you can only write checks to us. Nobody else. It drives me insane when I tell them I have a stamp yet they write it to cash! Now I get why. I rarely go to the bank and when I do I'm only depositing, so I may sound kind of stupid... But it makes some sense now.
