Well, this thing has been out there for over a decade, already, although was confined pretty much to Vancouver Island for several years.
It's been in Oregon for a few years, and may spread further south, but they're not sure if it will or where it will head.
MSN article seems to be a bit internally inconsistent.
Also, the mortality rate could be wildly inaccurate, since they have no way to determine how many people have really been hit with it, only those cases that they've identified.
