  • Representative Asshole

Today I had the pleasure of serving a member of the GA House of Representatives today (No names....although, I want to just be evil ). He comes up to my till with some items.

Me: How are you doing today, sir?
    Him: *grumble*
Me: Did you find everything you were looking for today, sir?
    Him: *grumble mumble*
Me: Did you have a Reward Zone card?
Him: *thumps it on my till* (I hate that)
Me: *scans, gives him the total*
    Him: *scans Discover card*
Me: Alright, sir. Could I see your card and a photo ID?
Him: *flashes House of Reps ID card, tosses Discover card at me*
Me: *types in card, transaction goes through* Give me just a moment for your reciept, sir!
    Him: ...
Me: *hands him reciept* Alright, sir! If you'd just go to this website--
Him: Uh huh yeah *grabs reciept, storms off*
Me: Have a nice day! Come back and see us!

    But what an ass!

Well, you have to admit, he's the right man to represent the SCs!

When people don't speak to me during a transaction, I don't tell them to have a good day (because at that point I don't care). I just say "Thank you" and wait for them to leave. It's my petty revenge on the world

You should have apologized to him for forcing him to deal with a common person such as yourself.

I thought politicians were usually outgoing, gregarious people who like to talk.

I'm not real savvy on politics, but I'm guessing it's not an election year for him, huh?

He probably just got caught diddling an intern and was having a bad day

I think Congress is out of session, so he didn't have an intern to run all his petty errands for him.

Shoot, our lovely GA House doesn't really receive interns capable of running errands.
The state legislators here are pretty much useless; they're all venal and corrupt and in the pay of either a) the Governor of the time, b) a town boss, or c) the GA Department of Transportation, who still manage to hog anywhere between 45%-65% of the state budget per year.
Why, no, I'm not bitter about my state.

Probably not, OR he's not running for reelection.
