It's always good for a laugh whenever a local talk show mentions Christmas. We keep hearing about the war on Christmas, immigrants are destroying our country, soon Christ will be banned, etc, etc. Some get very upset at the term Happy Holidays, as if it's a secret codeword against Christmas.

When my own (Christian) mother complained about how "you can't even say the word Christmas in public anymore!" I calmly showed her some ads from the early 80's. What did they all say? Happy Holidays! I then pulled out a major corporate ad from this year, which said Merry Christmas. I suppose you can't let facts get in the way of a good rant.

The only thing that's gets me angry is how upset people get over such a silly thing as what a time in December is called. I use all terms interchangibly and I really don't care what anyone calls December 25th.
