Holy crap in a bundt pan, I just looked up a clearance swamp job posting for Optician and it contains the following "words": teamthat, bestcare, Promotefrom, Competitivewage, Teammatediscount, Excellentbenefits, jobtraining, Provideexceptional, effectivedecisions, Strongwork and Enjoyworking.

I wish I was making all that up, I really do.

Take 1: Maybe it cost too much to put in the extra spaces.

Take 2: Maybe whoever wrote the job posting was spaced out.

What we have here are examples of why proofreading with spell-check alone is a bad idea.
There is so much more to effective communication than spelling. Sentence structure, punctuation, and appropriate wording matter.

Honestly, in my opinion, I'm generally willing to forgive some grammar mistakes, because they can sometimes make a sentence look or sound weird.

Spelling, on the other hand, I'm less likely to forgive, as well as things like knowing the difference between "there", "their", and "they're" and "sail", "sell", and "sale".

Some would say it doesn't matter because it's the message that's important. In fact, I've heard stories before about how some schools aren't really that interested in that type of stuff, but more about communicating the "message", so you end up with misspellings and "leet speak" in writing.
I often see cases where the writing is so bad that the message is in fact unclear or outright corrupted.

ETA for IPF: Your example sounds to me like a search-and-replace casualty. But for the writer not to spot it before posting, is of course inexcusable.
