    suck it.
This is an article pointing out that there are percentages of workers, such as customer service reps, and waitresses, with doctorates.
    Mn' doctorates.
EDIT: all the comments on the article are good-- like the one that mentions phd in nuc. physics as compared to psych, but this one, by microinjectionist, is awesome:
"Ph.D is not an easy degree to get. Not like an MD. People forget that Ph.D is paid for via tuition remission and a hefty stipend. Therefore there is no monetary investment for getting one's PhD. The only investment is time and sanity, which you will surely lose and never get back.
I'm still looking for mine. "

It may have to do with the fact that there are just not that many jobs available that require a great amount of education.

A "hefty stipend"? Maybe if you're in the sciences, where TA's and RA's are paid twice what those in the humanities and arts are.

Somewhere in there, either the article or comments, it talks about burnout, as well as working through college/whatever, and so forth.
Why would you think it's a prank? >_>

Yup in my call center I worked with a Lawyer, and at least 3 PhDs. My sister, a cab driver works with about 7 lawyers and at last count 14 PhDs.....Cabbies are very interesting people.....
Honestly.... the image of that in my head made me go "AWESOME!"..... and then I remembered I am terribly strange.-Red dazes
