I noticed posts mentioning the laws about 'bribing city workers' and their not being able to accept cash/gifts, but that usually applies to a certain dollar amount which a McDonald's breakfast certainly wouldn't come close to reaching! There are plenty of places that offer free drinks/snacks to police, fire fighters, veterans, etc. I'm betting her boss jumped the gun thinking she had given away all this food and not believing when they said they paid for it, and by that time she had been fired. She deserves a much better job anyway!
