A new teaser for an upcoming Ashes leaked this weekend. It featured a brief clip of a bearded Mike Quackenbush asking someone (now known to be Icarus, from a Vine video released last week) "Don't you know how to knock?" and the other person answering, "Would you have opened the door if I had?"
But of more interest was a more extended series of clips showing 3.0 entering Archibald Peck's shack in Parts Unknown, where they find a wall full of crazy, with strings and theories and pictures all tacked upon it. At the end of the clip, Peck himself appears and says, "You shouldn't be here."
People are still working on getting a screenshot of the board, but the following have been spotted. (NOTE: Bold is what was spotted, italics are my thoughts/analysis)
A sketch of the flux capacitor.
No surprise something like this would turn up, given Peck's tendency to time travel.
A 3.0 t-shirt.
Perhaps Peck has been monitoring 3.0's search for him?
That one Chikara t-shirt with the spiral of names.
Potentially nothing. The "spiral of names" shirt is a yearly release from Chikara.
Something cut off where the top line says "Future" and underneath ":16".
Can't really say much on this until we know more...
"Summer of 69"
Uncertain what this is supposed to indicate...
"Don't forget the Submission Squad"
The Submission Squad may allegedly have accidentally knocked out the power to the Tag World Grand Prix 2013 venue in Chicago, coincidentally at the same time that Peck ate a Backfist to the Future from Eddie Kingston, which supposedly sent Peck back to "Chikarasaurus Rex: How To Hatch A Dinosaur."
"The Future
2/1"
2/1 is the date of National Pro Wrestling Day this year.
"Cool
Heart
Intense
KAIJU
Art
Respect
Awesome
Fun!"
The Wrestling Is companies. This is the first time we've seen anything that officially links Kaiju Big Battel into the mix, as the "K" in "Chikara."
"GEKIDO"
The wrathful invading group from 2012 have been more active lately, with the injured 17 and CombatANT returning from absence. They are also supposedly on the Titor Conglomerate's payroll.
"1.21 Jigawatts"
Another "Back to the Future" reference. 1.21 jigawatts were necessary to power the flux capacitor.
"Who is the Titan of Titor?"
This is a new one. This is the first time a 'Titan of Titor' has been mentioned, and may be indicative of a new villain.
"25 May 2014"
No apparent significance to this date yet, but some people are guessing that this might be a date when Chikara may return, in time for an Aniversario event...
UPDATE!! May 25, 2002 was the date of the first Chikara show. May 25, 2014 will be 12 years to the day.
That photo of the Titor folks doing the groundbreaking.
The photo that killed Chikara. This picture was passed from the "No Public Army" blog to Mike Quackenbush, and from Quack to Derek Sabato, who tweeted it out at "Aniversario: Never Compromise," and led to Wink Vavasseur (on orders from Titor) shutting down the show.
"Conrad
=
Prometheus"
It's unclear what this means yet, but it definitely points to Conrad Vavasseur, Wink's father, being a part of something.
The Titor logo.
The Titor Conglomerate, of course, is the shady corporation that bought Chikara in 2011, and has been accused as being involved in hate groups/white supremacy groups and a PMC organization (Condor Security) that has allegedly been involved in crimes against humanity.
A picture of Icarus' back.
Icarus' infamous back tattoo was a large part of Icarus' rudo (heel) character, and he's notably kept it covered up since his face turn.
"Scapegoats". There's a photo underneath, but I can't make it out.
Not sure what this means yet. If we get a better look at the picture, we may know more. Perhaps the 'scapegoats' are who Titor is going to shift the blame to?
"Where is Soldier Ant?"
This has been one of the central mysteries of the "Ashes" series, with The Colony trying to track him down.
"Beware the Flood"
The "Flood" was referred to by DeviANT in the "Ashes" video of the same name, warning AssailANT that it was coming.
"The truth behind" (rest cut off/illegible)
Not much else can be gleaned about this until and unless we get a better look at the board.
A picture of Dr. Cube's head.
Kaiju Big Battel's central villainous figure was shot in the head last year, although he later returned from the dead-- although in Kaiju it's been implied that the 'new' Cube is an impostor. Dr. Cube has also been instrumental in two of the Wrestling Is companies shutting down.
This teaser clip has gotten a lot of people talking, and some are comparing it to Rip Hunter's blackboard/theory wall from DC Comic's "52" series. If this is meant to be an analogy to that, it may mean that one of 3.0 is secretly a villain...
