Happy dance time
Tonight's lyra (aerial hoop) class was our grading week, where we were going to be checked on everything we had learned that term, along with ensuring that we could safely get in and out of the hoop and also how to do what my instructor deems a "safety" exit if we were sorta "stuck" in the middle of a move (and I could do).
Over the course of the term, I learned around 10 different skills (and I had to repeat this term again due to missing large chunks of last term). Of the ten skills we were tested on, I managed to pass on around eight of them and the other two were basically a "Half" pass (that is, I knew the basic concept behind it or could get in/out of it fine, but couldn't do the move in between or do it well). Either way, I can now safely move up to the next level, which is where the high hoop gets introduced.
And my plan is now to start a new tradition - every time I move up a level, I get a new pair of leggings/tights or a new leotard/unitard.
