  • First in history!

    Mets History, that is.

Johan Santana just threw the first ever no-hitter for the Mets franchise.

My husband is over the moon.

His father is in China. Literally. A man who grew up watching the Mets, watching his mother sing the national anthem twice in Shea Stadium, missed the first-ever no-hitter because he's on a business trip in China.

Congrats to all the Mets fans out there!

About time, really, considering how many EX-Mets have thrown no-hitters!

      Seriously.

Nolan Ryan (his record seven no-no's all came with various teams after the Mets traded him away).
Tom Seaver (first season with Cincinnati after he left the Mets).
      Mike Scott (Houston Astros).
      Dwight Gooden (New York Yankees).
      David Cone (New York Yankees).
      Hideo Nomo (Boston Red Sox).
      Philip Humber (Chicago White Sox).
