Quoth fireheart View PostWait, what?! O.o
The stories of Koala bears attacking farm animals come from some of my farmer/outback friends. From my experience with other Australian wildlife, the Koala's 'attack' was most likely the result of the Koala being startled or the farm animal thinking it was lunch. My apologies if I made it sound like Koala Bears act more like a predator animal.

They predate rather heavily on eucalyptus leaves!
But yes, those claws are designed to dig into the trunks of trees. Note that Australia has trees with common names like "Ironbark". That particular tree earned its name. Koalas can climb it.
Short form: don't surprise, attack, or threaten a koala. Their teeth aren't much of a threat, being herbivore teeth. But they have CLAWS FROM HELL.Seshat's self-help guide:
1. Would you rather be right, or get the result you want?
2. If you're consistently getting results you don't want, change what you do.
3. Deal with the situation you have now, however it occurred.
4. Accept the consequences of your decisions.
