I'm running Windows 98 SE on a P2/400 system (still putting together the parts for a replacement system, but don't have much in the way of spare time). I've been running AVG free 7.5, but noticed the "greyed out" icon in the lower right corner (out-of-date virus definitions).

When I went to the AVG site, I see that 7.5 support ended on April 30th, and that 8.5 (current version) doesn't support Windows 98. When I finally get my new system put together, I'll be running XP, but for now does anyone know a good, free, still-supported antivirus that will work with Windows 98?
Any fool can piss on the floor. It takes a talented SC to shit on the ceiling.

Avast! Free Home Edition works for all Windows versions, and I've been using it for about 3 years now (Steam had a conflict with AVG). All you have to do is register it, essentially to prove it's for home use.

Good free antivirus, but the controls take some getting used to.
