So, I finally lost it today and there's probably a good chance that if this was monitored I'll probably be let go. I just couldn't wrap my mind around this guy.
Lil background I work in mail order coffee, yay. No obligation, cancel at any time, read your information and you'd know that.
So buddy calls in and he received his second shipment, uh-oh he doesn't want it. Fine, whatever, my talk time is high. I claimed the shipment and offer apologies, all the polite ego-stroking steps to make irate customers happy customers. Even credited the shipment for him. Didn't even have to send it back. (this isn't something special we always do this) Anyway, I explained what I was doing the entire way and this guy could not get it through his head. I don't know, maybe he's not used to having to fight for something.
Regardles, I mentioned about five times that I had credited the shipment, he would not recieve anymore and he didn't not have to send it back.
Then I asked if there was anything else and he has the balls to ask me, in the snottiest tone I have ever heard:
"So am I going to have to call the attorney general about getting this coffee taken care of?"
I...I just couldn't do it, I completely forgot what I was doing and I asked him.
"...You mean to tell me, you want to call the attorney general for thirty dollars worth of coffee? Are you KIDDING me?" We were both so shocked...I'm really surprised he didn't ask for a supervisor.
All I want to know is, how stupid do you have to be to completely ignore what's being said to you? I know, you get it every day but this was a new low.
Wow..just wow.
