Roasted Brussel's Sprouts with Bacon, Walnuts, and Parmesan Cheese

    Ingredients:
    3 lbs fresh Brussel's sprouts
    1 lb bacon
    1 cup walnut halves
1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
    1 tbsp lemon juice

    Directions:
Cut bacon into 1/4 inch pieces and cook over medium heat in a large skillet until fat is rendered and pieces are crisp. Remove cooked bacon with a slotted spoon to a plate lined with several layers of paper towels. Reserve 3 tbsp of the rendered bacon fat. Preheat oven to 375 deg F. Wash sprouts and trim off ends. Cut larger sprouts in half. Toss sprouts in reserved bacon fat. Spread sprouts out evenly over a large rimmed baking sheet and sprinkle with the black pepper. Roast in oven for 30 minutes, carefully stirring after 15 minutes. Stir sprouts again and add walnuts. Roast for an additional 15 minutes. Remove from oven, toss with lemon juice, then add bacon and parmesan and toss to distribute evenly.

That does sound tasty. Pity I'm the only one in my family who'll eat Brussels sprouts...
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

If I don't eat bacon, could I sprinkle on a bit of smoke flavoring? Also, I don't usually see fresh sprouts in the store. Can frozen be used?

My husband hates Brussel's sprouts but he loves this dish!
