Thank whatever diety we closed at 9pm tonight.
Not my run (which I am eternally gratefull)
Hotel customer places an order and pays for it with a CC. They then calls back maybe 5 minutes later to add some cinnimon stix (all the while bitchin up a storm over the "inflated price" of said item) which are paid as a seperate charge on the same CC (meaning 2 seperate CC slips)
Both times they CLEARLY state which hotel they are at, and )apparently) give the correct room numer.
Other driver gets dispatched on the order and proceeds to the appointed hotel. He gets to the room and knocks on the door. NO sound or answer. Knocks again NO sound or answer. He goes to the front desk and they call the room. NO answer.
Driver calls the store to check with the CSRs for both calls. HMMMMM maybe the customer is at another hotel with a name, when slurred (yes it is a time of imbibing spirits of alcohol), sounds like the first. Driver proceeds to 2d hotel but no luck so the order returns to the store. Now it is around 8:15pm (9pm closing).
We play the waiting game.....and wait....and wait........
Finally after close the "customer" finally calls in wondering where their order is. They are told no one was in the room indicated on the order (which the customer verified as correct). The customer gets all irrate saying they were just down the hall and the driver should have waited for them. It is explained that the driver does not have unlimited time to wait for customer. AND NO the order will not be delivered as it is after closing and all of the drivers are clocked out (not excactly true) and their CC is beingl refunded. GOODBYE <click>
The customer then proceeded to call back every 2 or 3 minutes. After the frist 2 times we stopped answering the phone and continued to get things shut down.
