  • .png images not showing up

For some reason, .png images are showing up as red x's which is really irritating. Especially since I can't go on certain sites that use nothing but .png images. I've tried a few things, like deleting a recently installed programme, but nothing. I've run the anti virus and Ad-Aware; nothing.

Sounds like you might have lost the viewer for those files, somehow. Here's a site that might be useful. Lower down on it, they list the applications that can view them.

    Hope it helps.

Thanks, I'll try that. Right now, I'm using firefox as a secondary browser; there are some sites that the coding gets messed up if I use it to view, so I'm still using IE7.

If not the viewer/file type... then the MIME type attached (which is what browsers use to determine what's what). But hopefully that same solution will fix both possibilities.
