I don't know all the jargon off the top of my head, but I recall my mother being scolded by her twit of a boss to do a ten-minute test in three minutes. He said (whatever) test did not require ten minutes, and my mother said that she didn't want to treat patients like slabs of meat on an assembly line. But she wanted to keep her job, so now she just does stuff as fast as possible. And you know someone will complain again about how insensitive the techs are (the equivalent of a hospital mystery shopper did this last year) or someone does a test wrong in a rush, and then the techs get in trouble again.

When it comes to individuals, I understand sometimes you can play favorites and give raises to those who deserve them. But when you play favorites with entire groups of staff and leave the others hanging just because of their rank on the professional totem pole, there's a problem. But everything in the department has gone to shit since the new boss took over.
