  • Special Christmas edition: How the angel got on top of the Christmas tree

Here is the origin of why we put an angel on top of the Christmas tree:

Many many years ago, at about 4:30 in the evening on Christmas Eve, Santa, to put it mildly, was having a rough day.

His elves were on strike, demanding better pay and threatening to go work for the Easter Bunny.

Mrs. Claus had been having headaches every night for the past three weeks. No way for Santa for unwind before his big trip.

Plus, it was very foggy, and Rudolph's nose had burned out, and Santa forgot to buy replacement bulbs. Also, Donner and Blitzen had hoof-and-horn disease.

Santa had also recieved word that 7 of his most popular toys were on the CSPC's "Most dangerous" list.

So Santa was rather cranky on his big day. No elves to make toys, no Mrs. Claus for moral support and R&R, and no reindeer to pull his sleigh.

But then there was a knock on Santa's door. He opened it and growled "YEAH?! WHADDAYA WANT!"

There was a sweet little angel standing outside his door holding a Christmas tree. She said, "Santa, we have only one Christmas tree left."

    "YEAH?! SO WHAT!" Santa barked.

The angel said, "So...what should I do with it?"

And that is the story of how the angel came to be atop the Christmas tree!
