Twice yesterday, once in a store that was trying to close (I was outside, refused their offer to let me in) and once on the bus I was able to make someone laugh and feel much better by saying, "There's a website you should visit: customerssuck.com"
Both times they cracked up and the employees at the store wrote it down.
I think it shows them that you know what they have to put up with and sympathize better than just about any other phrase.
