Seshat -- good point. I'll have to figure out which places actually do it ^_^ Not exactly an everyday item.

Maybe the best way to try it would be a serving from a restaurant?
Just so long as it's not Biggerson's Restaurant... >_>

Natch. Tonight when I was out shopping I saw turduckhen sausage...Which is really just turkey/duck/chicken sausage all blended together. Not quite the same thing but I might try it some time ^_^

Again, I have to have certain pieces of information by federal regulation: full name, physical address, phone number, social security number, and date of birth. If I don't get all of these, I cannot open the account. Even if I wanted to, I can't bypass that. I can't open an account for a newborn if they haven't gotten their social security number yet. I can't open an account for someone who refuses to give me their social security number. And so on.
I work for a brokerage, and if we're opening a customer account, we need the same information. If the customer is unwilling to provide said info, we *can't* open the account. With all the fraud and shady crap going on, we're not about to get into trouble because someone is being stubborn. Sorry, but we're not willing to risk fines and/or trouble with the SEC/FINRA. Don't like it? Fuck off then. Customer can threaten to take their investment business to another firm...but they'll ask the same questions. Oh, and if someone does attempt to dodge those questions, there's usually a *reason* why.

Yeah, I actually got in trouble a few months ago because I opened an account without a social security number. But there were extenuating circumstances: It was an account for a mother and son, and the mother had accounts with us. They were supposed to call me within the hour with the son's SSN. It took me two weeks to get it from them.

Not a bad prospect. I am not afraid. In the meantime, let me close my eyes and sense the beauty around me. And take that breath under the dark sky full of stars. Breathe in. Breathe out. That's all."
