i wish this was about the band. this guy needs to stay on his damn meds, or at least not bother people at barnes and noble. He was a regular, but since K kicked him out back in january, he hasn't been seen. until tonight.

i was grabbing a book for a customer and i just barely hear something like "shit, i hope that's not her." i look, and sure as shit, its pink floyd. i think he thought i was K for a moment. he meanders into the music department while i call M and H, the managers on duty. he behaves himself for all of ten minutes before i hear him ranting about slayer and metallica and devil music and how is the sign for satan or some such nonsense. the kids he was ranting to were trying to get away.

T, our ex-marine/LP/smack-down provider, had to escort him out. Pink knows he's been busted and leaves quietly. you'd think after being kicked out so many times, he'd learn.
Kim: She's got one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel.

I'd like to exercise my constitutional right to not give a fuck.

You may need to get him tossed into jail for him to learn his lesson.

Well, no, they don't. But at least it gets them out of circulation for a while.

I have hardcore evidence AGAINST the fact that Metallica is satan music. The Gregorian Monks have covered Nothing Else Matters. You don't get much more hardcore religious than monkhood.
The only words you said that I understood were "His", "Phone" and "Ya'll". The other 2 paragraphs worth was about as intelligible as a drunken Teletubby barkin' come on's at a Hooter's waitress.

Excellent! Besides that, the song 'Creeping Death' is out of bleeping EXODUS! Can't call it Satan Music if it's about gods miracles, can they?

I wonder what would happen if these devil music people saw their favorite bands when they aren't in front of a camera. Sitting at home in a sweater sipping hot tea (or in the case of most of these guys these days, Metamucil), reading the kids bedtime stories by the fire, helping little old ladies across the street, selling brownies at the church bake sale, and so on. Most of the fans don't realize that the whole death/satan thing is just an act (well, for most bands) and most of them go home, comb their hair, and go back to being "normal." I've heard that Marilyn Manson and Danzig (I've mentioned that before, but it's relevant again) are like the nicest, most "normal" guys you could ever meet when they're not "in character."

Somehow, I can picture Lars Ulrich doing that, and Kirk Hammett too, actually. Weird.

Random tidbits: My mom catered food for Judas Priest, if anything she was treated very nicely by them and she enjoyed working for them. If anyone remembers the story about those 2 kids who committed suicide due to JP being an influence, my mom told me that they were in town when that happened and they were devastated about the whole thing. My mom also worked for Prince, who from what I'm told is a very intelligent and polite man, a little off yes but very polite. One other band my mom worked for was U2. They requested her every time they came into the area. She knew who they were before they were big, and loved working for them also. They actually sent her a stuffed lamb when I was born.

Also, Marylin Manson and a lot of musicians are intelligent. Especially MM.

                      Sorry for the ramblings.

MM's music is not on the top of my list of must play . . .however I did see him once many moons ago on Politically Incorrect. (the other guest I remember from that night was Pam Anderson in a Hanson (the band) t-shirt)
He was polite, respectful of the other guests and very articulate (unlike my spelling)
I don't remember his exact words but I do remember one point he made . . .don't blame him for what your kids do because he does it. Meaning the chemical enhancements he choose to partake in. He claims that he has done research on each and everyone and knows what they can and most likely will do to him - the good the bad and the ugly - so he makes an informed choice for himself. If parents aren't teaching their kids how to research their choices it isn't his fault - his parents did their job.

the man can tell you what the entire band had for breakfast on october 28th 1984. and if they liked it, who prepared it, where they had it, who saw them, what they were talking about, repeat the conversation verbatim, wash, rinse, repeat.

and he won't shut up. i was trapped by him once for a good 45 minutes because im too nice to say STFU and walk away. i've learned my lesson.
