How do you say it? Is it "Santa Claus" or "Santy Claus"?

I'm asking because I recently took the family to see the new Grinch movie, and then we watched the original "How The Grinch Stole Christmas".

During Boris Karloff's reading, he says, "Santy Claus".

I also mention it because I heard a radio interview with Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones the other day where he referred to "Santy Claus".

My understanding is that the "Santy" pronunciation originated in Ireland. But I'm curious how/when it migrated to the U.S., and if it's "regional", or not. Boris Karloff was born in England.

So I'm wondering in the U.S. if this is a more "regional" thing, or what. I hear it very occasionally in Texas, and I know Jerry Jones was born and raised in Arkansas, but I don't know if it exists anywhere else in the U.S.
