  • And you're proud of that..????

    Hi All!

This is my first story post, so hopefully it will amuse ppl...

I was working in a servo some years back (doing graveyard shift as I did), and it was on a major freeway exit.

The local cops had set up a booze bus on the exit, and had done fairly well for the night.

Just as they were finishing up, I had a few customers in the store, including SC's.

I was serving an officer, who asked me 'Are people allowed to smoke inside the store?'

Me: No - of course not, not allowed to smoke anywhere on the premises.

Police Officer: - Well - that guy over there has just lit up.

Me: Hey, you're not allowed to smoke in here, it's a petrol station

Idiot: Why not? Where are your signs saying I'm not allowed to?

Me: D'oh.. All around you - on that pole over there, on that pump there... etc etc.

Idiot: But that's all outside, not in here...

Me: But it's for anywhere on the premises. Put it out (still with a room full of police officers present).

Idiot: Hey - I know my rights. I've just come out of prison, and I've spent more money on lawyers fees than you have on your house!

(And you're actually proud of that..?????? not to mention being a tosser anyways!)

Argument actually continued for some minutes more, before he walked outside (even worse - cos that's near the pumps), and wanted to continue his smoke! Darwin awards - keep your eyes out for this guy!

The one thing I didn't do or think of at the time, was to politely ask him to leave, count to 3, and then ask said police to escort him off the premises.
When I said "From my research", what I actually meant to say was "Made shit up" - from a thottbot thread

Why did the police do nothing?

Yeah, what's up with the police not doing anything?

Yeah I work a gas station and when I do the graveyard shift i see the same cop everymorning. One morning there was this jerk-wad yelling at me about the coffee (suprise suprise we aren't starbucks) and when the cop walked in he stormed out. Almost knocking her aside.

Needless to say she was a little mifed about being almost knocked over. So when he lights a cig right outside the door. She arests him for endagerment! He probably got off later that day. But boy was it nice to see.

Police = sitting there = morons
