“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged.
One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world.
The other, of course, involves orcs." -- John Rogers

Pratchett also has a few standalone novels, notably the classic short Strata. And then there's that last thing he did with Stephen Baxter, the awe-inspiring Long Earth series.
Also Good Omens with Neil Gaiman. Then there is Nation, The four Johnny books and there is a series of short story collections that are being released gradually too. So many books. So much space on our bookshelves.
A good bookshop is just a genteel Black Hole that knows how to read. - Terry Pratchett, Guards! Guards!

I just plowed through Timothy Zahn's Quadrail series (5 books) in less than two weeks.
