I really intended to stay until the end of the 6 month trial period. Even though they're letting me go, the manager told me I could stay until then if I wanted to. And I planned to do that, partly because I didn't want to leave L., the woman I work directly with, in a bad place.
But, I feel so much dread every night knowing I have to go in the next day, that it's making me ill. I called in sick today. Come to find out, L. gave her two weeks notice today! AND they agreed to let today be her last day if she wants, so the person who's been training me is now gone.
I'll finish out the week and then I'll technically be on vacation for the next five weeks, as my vac time from 2017 is accrued and they owe it to me. After that, I get my severance, and meanwhile I will be looking for a new job.
Please keep a good thought for me. I am so scared it's not funny, but it is what is is.
