My Mom and I are leaving Sunday for Las Vegas. Any suggestions as to the best casinos for slots? We will be arriving on Sunday and leaving next Wednesday, so we don't want to spend a lot of time looking for the loosest slot machines. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Best luck I ever had on slots was on Fremont Street. But that was over 10 years ago.

I don't play slots, but with Fremont St. you've got so many casinos within a 4 block radius to chose from. You don't have to walk a half mile to get to the next one, like on the strip.

One of my mother's CWs before she retired always swore by the nickel slots at any casino. He would take about $10 in nickles (5 rolls) and come back with anywhere from 50-500 in profit every time he went.

That's all I know about slots though...I only play Poker when I go there hehe

I had the best luck last year at Caesar's Palace. I walked out one day with about $200 extra in my pocket and some serious bling as well after playing for most of the day.

Terribles (off the strip) isn't too bad either. It's not as flash as the strip casinos, and they have a really cheap buffet.

MGM, Luxor, Planet Hollywood and the Aria are OK too.

Avoid the Venetian, it just gobbled my money up. Brilliant though if you just want to walk through and admire the scenery, or go to a show, or eat, or shop, or.......

(I was there for two weeks, CP was definitely the best as far as payouts, and it was consistently good.)

I've long heard that traditionally quarter and dollar slots are the loosest and pennies usually aren't the best idea.

As for Vegas...Fremont St. is great. The Strip is nice if you want to go for that all out, town of excess kind of thing but be warned: It's VERY EXPENSIVE. A small alcoholic drink can easily run you north of $10 and you'll probably have a horrible time finding a place two people can eat for less than $30.

Fremont on the other hand is WAY more affordable, they have some inexpensive food and drinks along there and the other nice thing about Fremont is it's a non traffic st (at least the central portion of it is) so you can walk around to your hearts content.

Wherever you go, do the smart thing and valet at one of the Casinos. The few bucks you spend for the tip will be well worth it.

If you're actively playing at the Strip casinos, drinks are free but for the tip. Many of the casinos also have low-budget eating options too. It just takes a bit of looking to find them.

Beware of the street hustlers though! Elvis will charge you to have your photo taken with him.

Well..... we stayed at Excalibur so we played quite alot there and mostly lost money. Lost more money at Luxor. Did OK at Mandalay Bay and then lost all the winnings. Only say one Elvis impersonator and that was outside the MGM. Played there for about 4 hours on $20. Spent a fortune on food. But we had a great time. Hope to do it again next spring.
