  • WTF at work...

Came across this at work today (though not directly work-related so I'm putting it here). The admin assistant gets the Publisher's Weekly email newsletters and forwards them to all of us. Today was probably my favorite.
(As posted on my facebook page)

    Today’s work-related wtf:

Publisher’s Weekly email about cookbooks with “A Girl and Her Pig” featured (complete with dead pig draped over her shoulders on the cover)…next to an ad for "Vegan Slow Cooking" (coming soon!).

    also,
“A more overt attempt to reach new home cooks is Vegan Cooking for Carnivores: Over 125 Recipes So Tasty You Won’t Miss the Meat. It’s from Grand Central, and it’s photographed by the aptly named Quentin Bacon …”
I don't go in for ancient wisdom
I don't believe just 'cause ideas are tenacious
It means that they're worthy - Tim Minchin, "White Wine in the Sun"

Those situations where ads just don't compliment each other are just hilarious.

I guess Mr. Bacon took the meat!

I love the TV shows about weight loss that house commercials for cookie dough or fast food places.
