I was next in line at the grocery store while a woman was purchasing a turkey. They were having a deal where, if you were purchasing 25$ worth of groceries you could get a fresh frozen young turkey for .99cents a pound. This woman was only buying a turkey. The price came up to $40 +. She asked why was it double what it should be; she was getting the deal. The cashier had to explain that the deal was AFTER spending at least 25$; the woman was trying to use the turkey as her 25$ purchase and THEN get the half-off price. So the customer stomped off saying they weren't going to buy it. Well, the store also had a deal where if you'd earned so many points during the holiday season you got a voucher for a free turkey With this purchase I'd earned all my points, so I told the cashier I could just take that turkey so they wouldn't have to haul it back to the meat department. Poor little unwanted turkey...
