I helped a lady who was buying a little pack of bungie tie downs and the entire time she was in front of me she was bitching about how we didn't care about customers who spnd a thousand dollars and how she had "millions of these at home and now I have to buy more to take *whatever it was she bought at another til- I tune out the ones who bitch from the start* home." If you know you're going to be buying something large, wouldn't it make sense to, I don't know, grab 5 or 6 of those millions of cords you have just in case you need them? Hell, leave a few in the damn vehicle, you never know when they could be useful.
