    No. You don't have to wonder. There are really only three reasonable possibilities.

    1. She learned it from watching her parents act the same way, as though they were entitled to this, that, and everything.

    2. Her parents ignored her, and she is now acting this way for attention, as any attention is better than no attention.

    3. She is downright evil, a spawn of whatever nether region being you choose to believe in.

    Personally, I believe in 2. But individual mileage may vary.

      i'm going for broke and choosing all three options, emulating the selfish 'i want it all' attitude we are all so fond of.

      condition or not, there are ways to control the behavior; no one who takes care of her bothers to do anything, so it will continue. imagine the joy she'll spread at 16, 20 and beyond.
