  • Munificent salutations!

As you might be able to tell from my user name, I've been a lurker for many, many years... I adored GK's posts, among many others, but the utter absurdity of the "PANTS" theme from GK really caught my imagination. I was sorry when he moved on, but was happy to hear that it was (probably) because he was moving to a job with less insanity.

So now, years after I started to lurk, I have finally signed up.

I also considered "PEBCAK" (Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard) as a user name, as I have found myself to be that very problem more than once.

I'm a techie geek type, and do not deal with customers directly for the most part. I'm also a gear-head, and have occasionally dealt with customers (or at least people that I'm trying to help) in that capacity. I guess what I'm saying is: don't expect many stories from me.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged.
One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world.
The other, of course, involves orcs." -- John Rogers

Hah! Well, if and when I can set an avatar, I might pick that.

More likely, though, it'll be some Ed Hardy abomination, or maybe just skull-print trousers or some such.
