Yet another from my former telephone insanity daze...lol:

Me: How may I help you?
Customer: Hold on.
Me: OK… (holding for awhile) Hello?
Customer: Yes, hold please. (long hold) OK, my TV isn’t working.
Me: OK, what do you see on the TV screen now?
Customer: (silence)
Me: Hello?
Customer: (silence)
Me: MAM?
Customer: Oh, nothing.
Me: Let me check something for you. Do you mind holding?
Customer: Um, whatever.
Me: Thanks. (hold) OK, thx for holding---
Customer: HELLO?! Where were you??

[Becks]

Customer (to friends) : Just imagine. I was put on HOLD for (in reality, a brief period of time, but in SC time it was) HOURS, and I did not ONCE complain when I put the Phone Jockey on hold.

Wow, that really seemed funnier in my head.
