Tuesday night I was cleaning the fryers at work when some oil came splashing out.

    Hit me in the face.

Before you all worry about me, though, for some reason the oil never really burns me. It's when it drips off the chicken that it causes me pain.

Never been injured myself but, since I work in a business where employees work with sharp material, there are going to be cuts and on one occasion, an amputation EEK!

One of the first questions I ask a new employee is if they faint at the sight of blood. I had one employee (6'4" 200+lbs) faint on top of me while I was taking a look at his hand to see how bad the cut was. He looked too and fainted dead away. Trip to the ER, a few stiches and all was well, but geeze, if you know you faint at the sight of blood, don't look!

The other amputated the tip of his finger and did not faint. Trip to the ER and finger was sewn back on, all is well. How he amputated his finger is still a headscratcher.
