Actually, I was also kinda surprised that the phone died, but it could take pretty much everything I could throw at it, including bouncing down a set of concrete stairs and falling off a third floor balcony (2nd floor for those of you on the other side of the pond). Maybe going for a swim was just the final straw?

Perhaps one of those drops left the casing slightly loose and the chlorine got into the phone? Who knows.

I keep meaning to have a look for some really heavy-duty phone for when my poor Nokia finally bites the dust. It's not as if I'll be using it for anything other than phoning or playing the odd game of solitaire before I fall asleep.
