A customer called confused about the scallion prices and wasn't happy with me when I checked the price a few times since I forgot what the sign said. It got to the point where I transferred the call to the assistant store director.

This doesn't sound sucky to me. Maybe if you'd put a bit more than a couple sentences in your post we might get a better picture on why the customer was being sucky. From what little you say, it sounds like you are being rather sucky on having to put the customer on hold a few times in order to check a price. Putting a customer on hold once I can see if you don't know the price off the top of your head but anymore than that is rather sad on your part. It's why I always had a piece of paper and a pen on me. Jotting down information is always a good idea especially if a customer needs to know more than one price.

Depending on how many times you had to put her on hold to check the price, I can see her getting an attidude especially if she already thought she was charged the wrong price. Next time you might want to try a little harder to remember the price and it might make it so the customer won't cop an attidude at you.

She also wanted to know the price of the item on a certain date which happened to be in a previous ad. She started giving me the attitude when I told her I would have to check since we keep old ads in a certain place.
Even the assistant store director believed she was nasty. The customer probably would've given an attitude regardless of how she was helped.
The assistant store said to page her if the scallion customer came in. The scallion customer didn't show.Last edited by purplecat41877; 07-08-2008, 05:28 AM.

Here's what happened when I put the customer on hold.
1st time: went to check the price and found 2 prices
2nd time: double checked the sale sign since something didn't seem right when I price checked the loose scallions
3rd time: was originally going to check an old ad for the customer but she gave such an attitude that I transferred her to the assistant store director instead
