  • Andor's End

I think it is time to bust out the classic fantasy roleplay..a little updated to fit Forum Style. Which leads me to introduce Andor's End.

Andor's End is a bustling merchant town right in the middle of the world's five great powers (Imagine it like a wheel with the spokes pointing to a different kingdom). Highhold, the Human's kingdom lays to the northeast. The northeast is mostly plains with a few odd hamlets and villages dotting the landscape. The humans are (at this time) the fewest in number, and just coming into their own.

To the north is Anvil Hall. The mountain fortress of the Dwarves. The northern section of the kingdoms is great mountains, a veritable fortress already made when the Dwarves moved in. They then dug it out, and built huge fortresses of stone and metal..only the foolish dare enter their domain with ill intent. It is the smallest kingdom..on the outside..but since it goes deeper then any..it is actually the largest in size. Some of their domain even encroach on other kingdoms, but you'd never guess it as it is all tunnels and caves.

To the northwest is the actual smallest of the kingdoms, the High Elf kingdom of Winterveil. A frozen tundra that harbors little life, harsh and cruel to those not use to it. The Elf's, however, live comfortably high in the clouds in cities powered by magic. Crysalis, the largest city ever made, is the High Elf's capital city..and it's ornate walls and beautiful crystal towers make it seem as if they would be easy to topple this colossus..but looks can be deceiving.

To the southwest is, in the human tongue, The Dale. A massive forest, that seems to be the largest of the kingdoms..not counting all the tunnels and caves that the Dwarves have. In it reside the Wood Elves. They really do not have a capital, and each of the tribes has their own leaders. They are not very organized, but in the forrest...they are the mightiest of the armies. No army has been able to get more then maybe a mile into the woods without being decimated from what seems every direction at once.

Finally there is the Swamp. Once home to the Darrow, nothing has been heard of them since the last major war. At one time the Darrow, a lizard like race, tried to conquer the world. Their nation now lays in ruin, and only a handful survive.

You can be any of the race except for Darrow..any class as well. However you start at 1st level..so you are just beginning your adventure.

Racial Perks - Human. None..they are the average of all the rest. They tend to learn faster, so they get 1 extra skill a level.

Dwarf - Extra strength and endurance, at the cost of speed and agility. They are hardy folk, but not the fastest in the realm. They have the ability to know which direction they are facing without fail, and how deep they are if in a cave or tunnel. They can sometimes pick up on hidden doors. Best as fighting classes or clerical classes.

High Elf - High intelligence, at the cost of strength and endurance. Arcane knowledge, chance to know what a magic item is or does..though if they fail they get a false reading on the object. Best as magic users or clerics.

Wood Elf - Slightly faster then they other races, though a slight bit on the crude side (charisma suffers). Wood lore, animal lore, and plant lore come naturally to them. They may pick up a free skill each level as long as it has to do with hunting, tracking, or the like. ((Ie survival skills)).

Engaged to the amazing Marmalady. She is my Silver Dragon, shining as bright as the sun. I her Black Dragon (though good honestly), dark as night..fierce and strong.
Working...
