  • I don't think I want to know your history, sir ...

Brother and I went to visit Mom at the nursing home tonight. At one point I went down to the kitchen to get her a small glass of OJ.

Elevator doors open and I step in. There's an elderly gent in a wheelchair already in there.

EG (quite cheerfully): "Did you kill lots of people?"

    Me: "Um ... no ... ?"

EG (still cheerily): "Well, did you kill one person?"

Me: "Um ... sure! Sure I did!"

EG: (laughs and waves his hand): "Oh well, then don't worry about it!"

    All righty, then ...

    What? I'm guessing dementia.

More than likely. But far more interesting than the usual dementias!

I doubt that it is dementia. He probably just likes freaking people out.

Well, it's a nursing home, so it could be dementia. Have to admit, though, I like your second assessment better.

could be a combination- particularly since behavioural issues can be the result of alzheimers.
