  • Photographer wins $1.08 million dollars from SCs!

The couple did not want to pay the $125 cover fee for their album (in the contract) and wanted their pictures which were not to be released until the album was done (Also in the contract) So they went to news about how the photographer was extorting them for fees not in the contract and then made (proven) fake accounts to bash the photographer out of business! Watch the video until the end, that is where they completely show their entitlement.

Yes, you should indeed have "given in to start with" and PAID WHAT YOU OWED.

I hope her "lifestyle blog" goes down the drain now too.

No kidding. As the national average for a wedding budget is $25K, $125 borders on a rounding error
I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my keister!

My wife and I got off easy with the cost of our wedding. Of course, ours was very small (immediate family only), and was at a small outdoor venue. I think that we dropped around $3,000, not counting rings. That included our wardrobes, food, cake, photography, and so forth.

My GF and I went to the JP, and invited my folks. My step-dad was in the area for a business trip, which is why we scheduled it for that day. Cost us a couple hundred bucks at most, then my folks took us out to dinner.

Yup, people think they can say whatever and nobody will call them on it. Typical SC.

Also, here's an article I read, it goes a bit more in depth. The bride compared choosing wedding photos to Sophie's Choice, and also texted someone saying that she wanted to ruin the photographer's reputation.

I can't check your links right now, but in the post I read about this, the photographer even offered to waive the $125 fee - all the couple had to do was pick which pictures to put in their album. But apparently, they'd rather bash the photographer than get their wedding album.
"I look at the stars. It's a clear night and the Milky Way seems so near. That's where I'll be going soon. "We are all star stuff." I suddenly remember Delenn's line from Joe's script. Not a bad prospect. I am not afraid. In the meantime, let me close my eyes and sense the beauty around me. And take that breath under the dark sky full of stars. Breathe in. Breathe out. That's all."

Regarding this case, there's something I'm a bit unclear on. Did the photographer ask for the $1.08 million, or did the judge/jury in the case award that much?

I ask because I don't know how vindictive I really am, but I would be awfully tempted to ruin the people who ruined me, and ask for far more than $1.08 million. In addition, I think they should have been made to post a public apology to their "blog", and leave it there.

The photographer asked for the lost revenue, and the judge and jury determined that to be 1.08 million
