    Had a shift in the store today. Manager tells me that I shouldn't get all stressed out over my sales figures or the numbers of Gadget Bundles I've sold.

    "We should just have fun!"

    Okay ... is that why we have to go through our sales figures (including number of Gadget Bundles sold) every week? And why you were commenting to me today that "Wow, your [ounces of tea sold] last week were really low ... what happened?!"

    Are we having fun yet ... ?

    Being unpleasable is part of the game. If everyone is kept off-balance, they have to be afraid. And are more vulnerable to making mistakes so they can be punished.

    It's a power game.
    Customers should always be served . . . to the nearest great white.
