I mean, I dared to embarrass an SC in front of his dear.
This happened New Year's Eve. I have to work the night shift on that night. I go into work expecting a hectic night, maybe expecting there'll be drunken parties I'll have to call the cops on. I'm expecting the worst. So with that mindset, my bullshit tolerance is quite low.
In comes the couple. The woman wasn't sucky. The man was. We all know the type. Wants to be a smartass in order to impress the girl. When it comes to sarcasm, I'm no slouch.
After getting the info, I ask for a CC and ID. The woman hands me her CC but the guy hands me his ID.
Me: I'm going to need a CC and ID from the same person.
SC: That doesn't make sense.
Me: It doesn't make sense that I require the CC holder to prove who they are?
Later as I'm printing the registration card and handing it to the woman to sign.
SC: Wait, we're not signing anything until we see the rate in writing.
Me: It's the rate acceptance right there. It's the first thing I asked her to initial. See? $69 plus tax.
He's quiet the rest of the transition. But I later found out from my supervisor that he complained about me. Supervisor certainly didn't take his side. And the only reason I heard about the complaint to begin with was that supervisor was kind enough to entertain me with this asswipe.
