My factory is undergoing a massive expansion, which leaves quite a few thing to be named. Conference rooms, production floors, and so on... And we're holding a contest to name them all! You just write your submission on a slip of paper and put it in the box up in the break room. Management will pick through them and post the best ones, and then we get to vote! What fun!
Except... They didn't seem to like a list of submissions put forth by an anonymous, but public-minded employee. The list appeared on the bulletin board, with a note that only serious submission will be considered -- and further submissions in this vein will not be tolerated.
You see, the different areas of the plant are named for local landmarks and with that in mind, the anonymous (but public-minded) employee put forth a list of place names for consideration.
They were:
Gehenna
Hinnom
Golgotha
Pandemonium
Tartarus
Hades
Lethe
Akheron
Kokytos
Phlegethon
...and last but not least...
Yomi
It would appear that someone in management is up-to-date on their world religions as well as their ancient Greek mythology.
Meantime, I simply cannot imagine who that public-minded employee might have been.
