I know that I have gotten mouthier back at asshole sc since starting to hang out here. I always was willing to be polite and make positive comments thanks to my mom who raised someone who was civilized

Thank you, from my deli friends. They can't throw the knives back there, so they just have to imagine Asshole's head under the slicer.
Thank you.
Now selling Sliced Asshole, going out cheap: one day special!

Kudos to you for giving the SC a blast of his own medicine. These idiots figure they can get away with being jerks because they know the employees can't answer back, and far too often management won't.

But there's not much they can do when other customers speak up.
Precisely! The big bully turns into the snivelling coward the moment someone else calls him on his crap, someone who is allowed to fight back.

And I repeat: ShinyObject,

Bless you. More consumers need to be put in their place - the rubbish bin.
Saying they deserve to go in a rubbish bin is an insult to rubbish bins. A Rubbish bin is too high class

Y'know, if we all left our posts to get "real" jobs, the economy would grind to a halt...

For some reason, though, this line makes me think of that scene in the supermarket in "Hot Fuzz," where the deli workers ARE throwing a "f**kload of cutlery."

Glad you stood up for them, tho I can say I heard that same thing when I worked for Safeway and I have actually heard it used against me when I refused to reset a password working for an IT company... Makes me wonder what their idea of a real job was...

Oh, it's not a "real job", right---but I bet that SC wanted the guy to wait on him, didn't he? Glad you spoke up. Maybe next time the SC will keep his fat trap shut.

I just couldn't believe that someone would actually say something like that. Deli people are on their feet moving constantly, having to remember what you just told them which means they had to forget what the previous person said. They have to put up with your indecision, your ability to change your mind while they are cutting your meat and your impatience that it's all taking so looooong. And they do this over and over and over day after day. I don't know what they get paid, but it ain't enough.

I'm normally awful at confrontation and to tell the truth I was worried he would follow in the store. But I think he was too much of a coward and is only good for harassing people he knows can't fight back. I glad I was there so I could say something. I know that terrible feeling of having to take abuse and it's something no one should have to go through. Customers are NOT always right and need to be put firmly in their place when they forget their manners.

Hang in there guys, most of your customers do appreciate you.
