That is an alarmingly accurate account of how my night shifts use to go. Thank God I'm not on that shift anymore. I only sometimes get hit with their spittle now. Granted I deal with a whoooole new category of demi-human now.

Granted, my reputation as our resident bastion against the weak minded works against me. As coworkers will on the day shift will pass suspect calls to me now because I'm the most artfully proficient at dealing with the demi-humans that call those lines. >.>
