And the song I parodied was Kokomo, not the Canadian Nat'l Anthem.

...I actually figured that out halfway through, but for some reason, my head was like NOPE NOW YOU HAVE THIS SONG.

                  .....

                  Dear Diary,

Today I learned that a song I remember from 1980s Sesame Street was, in actuality, a real song. Whoops.

Looking through my files, I found one that I forgot about. It's Customer based, so I will post it now.

(tune of I Can See Clearly Now (The Rain is Gone))

I am so weary, and I've just begun
There are so many obstacles in my way
Angry mobs all around to tear me down
It's gonna be a long (long), long (long) and tiring day

Don't think I can make it now, the lines are long
All of the mad people are in my lane
Where is the break that I've been praying for
It's gonna be a long (long), long (long) and tiring day

Look all around, there's nothin' but rude guys
Look straight ahead, nothin' but rude guys

I am so weary, now the day is done
Took care of all the obstacles in my way
Gone are the angry mobs that tear me down
But they'll all be back (back), back (back) the very next day

                        Just got customersruinmylife's permission:

(Tune of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight")

Oh Go Away, Oh Go Away, Oh Go Away, Oh Go Away (x4)

In the pub house, the seaside pub house
A drunk starts up a fight
In the pub house, the seaside pubhouse
The cops break up a fight

A-Wee-ee-ee-ee-ee-ee-We got it all on tape
Oh Go Away, Oh Go Away, Oh Go Away, Oh Go Away
A-Wee-ee-ee-ee-ee-ee-We gave the cops the tape
Oh Go Away, Oh Go Away, Oh Go Away, Oh Go Away

In the kitchen, the pub house kitchen
A drunk pulls down his fly
In the kitchen, the pub house kitchen
                        Two guys take him outside

A-Wee-ee-ee-ee-ee-ee-He peed in the wrong place
Oh Go Away, Oh Go Away, Oh Go Away, Oh Go Away
                        A-Wee-ee-ee-ee-ee-ee-He landed on his face
Oh Go Away, Oh Go Away, Oh Go Away, Oh Go Away

After hours, when the pub closes,
                        The staff get drunk instead
After hours, when the pub closes
                        The staff drink to forget

                        A-Wee-ee-ee-ee-ee-ee-We never will forget
Oh Go Away, Oh Go Away, Oh Go Away, Oh Go Away
                        A-Wee-ee-ee-ee-ee-ee-That's our biggest regret
Oh Go Away, Oh Go Away, Oh Go Away, Oh Go Away

Ok, who here can sing, and where do we get the recording equipment? I think the forum has it's own CD in the works.

At least, we had better have one.

Dude, I have no idea if I am one of the people you thought about parodying. But I have been known to do some parody song lyrics in here from time to time (i.e., constantly), and I have to admit, I would absolutely love to see what parody you would do for me.

If you want to great. If not, I won't be hurt. But keep this in mind, if you do decide to parody me: absolutely nothing is off limits. I can dish it, so I better be able to take it, right?

So, if you are so inclined to put me in your sights, in the words of Ms. Benatar, hit me with your best shot.
