A funny one at work.

A mentally handicapped group of kids come to my department with their aide alongside them. As I was ringing out some CDs for them, one of them picks up a scary movie, and drops this priceless gem:

"I'm gonna watch this so I can get me some nightmares."

The aide and I just start cracking up, and we were both still laughing as they were walking out. That certainly made my day.

Now I know that kid was mentally handicapped, and I shouldn't be encouraging him, but I couldn't help myself. That was just too funny.

Nah, I don't think it was "encouraging" him. Kids say funny things whether they're mentally handicapped or not, and the mentally handicapped ones tend to say things that we find even funnier because they're so serious about it or they use a certain tone of voice....

You know you're fine because the aide was laughing also. Mentally handicapped kids can be a ton of fun to hang around with - they're hysterical!
