My place is rather lacking in the planning dept. I work mon-thurs closedown on the Deli which is fine only in the last two months I've done 6 out of 8 closedowns on a Friday. They asked me to do other one today but I'm afriad Your lack on planning is not my responsibility! Does the fact that I've had to do that many not tell you anything! Like maybe we need a extra member of staff to take up some slack.

Good for you! If you were not originally scheduled for it, and it was not a sudden "oh the regularly scheduled closer had an emergency," then it is not your responsibility. If they flat forgot to schedule somebody, tough noogies!

Well they are going to be stuffed in three weeks time since I'll be having surgery and they'll not only have to cover the Fridays they keep "Forgetting" or having people go "sick" suddenly but they will have schedule someone to cover every closedown I work and since I do four a week...

Might make em realise that I actually do work quite hard really.
