    In lieu of flowers, mourners are requested to stand on one leg

    Donald Featherstone, the creator of the pink flamingo lawn ornament, has died at age 79.

    Note that his creation is NOT compatible with certain adhesives - I tried to attach a velvet Elvis painting to one of these ornaments with contact cement a couple months ago, following the directions on the can. I'm still waiting.
