In the past 16 months or so, I have lost 35 pounds. I've still got about that much more to go, but, I'm getting there!! It's fun rediscovering things I can do easily again. Getting up from the floor is a big one. Crossing my legs. Bending down to pick things up.
And my clothes are starting to fall off of me. That's a new thing. I've NEVER had to downsize my wardrobe before. Also, thank goodness for drawstrings in elasticated pants!! Been more than one time the past few months where that drawstring was the thing that kept my pants up.
"How am I doing it?" I hear you ask with breathless wonder. Simplest thing in the world, and the ONLY way that works that doesn't also involve surgery. Tracking what I'm eating, paying CLOSE attention to serving sizes (even going so far as to count out or weigh out servings), and cutting way, way, waaaaaaaaay back on sugar (and overall calorie intake). Also increasing my activity level some, but I utterly despise exercise purely for the sake of exercise and flatly refuse to "work out".
I still have my sweet treats and junk food snacks, just less of them. Less of them means less of me!
